obama primaries, obama/hillary was the first time i voted. one of the reasons i voted. i wonder if it's what happened with the black community, all the candidates were the same. i didn't know about politics and i was lazy. did you know karl rove is rigging elections and trying to make it so you don't vote. i signed up and voted. every time i vote, i'm like go to hell rove. i vote. if people are work thag hard to suppress your vote, maybe your voice matters. >> you hit on the magical part. the evil folks in the room, we are going to disenfranchise the vote, they didn't realize the civil rights movement wasn't that far gone. all of a sudden, all black people came out saying you know we died for the vote. go out there and vote. vote now. >> every person in a civil rights march came out and was like, vote. they didn't realize how that works. >> it was shocking how many young people who weren't part. they felt that sense of, okay, they may not be perfect choices. part of it certainly was the voter suppression. the other piece of it was what constantly felt like racialized at
